Who We Are

The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria elevates the profile of artists and performers while igniting passion in local arts and culture in our community.

Established in 1968 as a non-profit organization and registered charity, the CACGV embraces all arts disciplines, including: literary, visual, music, theatre, dance and media arts; and the rich cultural diversity and heritage of Greater Victoria. Galleries, workshops, presentations and special events are staged throughout the region in multiple venues and in our headquarters on Fort Street (The Bay Centre).

CACGV activities are open to the entire community. We welcome artists and performers of all disciplines and at all levels, from curious, to emerging to professional.

We value and encourage relationships with local organizations to build community through arts and culture.
